Durban Castle Ship, Union-Castle Line to South And East Africa Postcard.Ship launched on 14th June 1938, sailing between London and Cape Town. Then converted to a troopship in September 1939. Carried many thousands of allied troops taking part in, Africa,Sicily,Salerno, South Of France landings. The King Of Greece was carried in 1941, to the United Kingdom. After commercial service in 1946, the last voyage was in 1962. Scrapped by, Eissen & Metall at Hamburg Germany.Postcard is in very good order throughout, has not been posted.
