Comique Series was published circa. 1911-1920. Leap Year was distributed between these dates. The company was based at Red Lion Square, London, featuring leading artists Donald Gill (1875-1962) and Fred Spurgin (1882-1969). Leap Year is a series of cards, this one being No.8080. The company was renowned for its output of Propaganda type comic postcards. For the collectors, there were series of Armee, Allies, British and Comique and several others. A number of these, can be found within The V&A, Victoria & Albert Museum, in London. See scan for condition, some feint foxing on reverse.
