H.M.S. Superb 1950 Real Photo Postcard. A cruiser built by, Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd. Originally commissioned on 30th October 1945. Used on the official H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth in March 1946, to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Between 1946 and 1950, the Superb, was in service in the Mediterranean and Home Stations. It was the onyy Royal Nay Cruiser in 1947. Eventually laid up in 1957 and subsequently scrapped at Dalmuir.This postcard was posted out in 1950, to an addressee in West Wickham Kent.
